20 GSC swimmers, 4 tired adults, and 1 17 month old survived sharing one beach house in Atlantic Beach for a week. Everyone had a great time while getting in some great long course training in Morehead City. The trip was only successful because of the great job Lisa Shaw and Rondi Godley did playing "mom" to that many children. They were constantly cooking, cleaning, mixing gatorade, and making much needed escapes to the grocery store. The week ended with an awesome showing for our swimmers at the ECSL Long Course Championship. Though tired and a bit worn out, the kids still went best times and dominated the meet. It was an awesome experience that we hope to make a tradition.
Saturday and Sunday: Due to timeline problems, the Goldsboro team has moved the 11-12 year old swimmers into the afternoon session with the Senior swimmers. All 10 & Under swimmers remain in the morning. The schedule is the same as of now, I will let you know if they make any changes. Saturday and Sunday Warm-ups for the 12 & U session will begin at 8:00AM. Warm-ups for the Senior session will not begin before 12:00PM.
Friday: Friday night warm-ups will begin at 4:00PM, with competition at 5:00PM. Events for Friday night are numbered 1-10. If your swimmer does not have an event numbered 1-10, there is no reason for you to attend Friday night. Also, the 1500 is the first event. Those swimmers in the 1500 should plan to be at the pool for warm ups at 4:00. We will set a time for everyone else to show up after we know how many heats of the 1500 there will be.

If you are having trouble with any specific link or you do not understand what you are looking at please contact one of the coaches via email.
Parents and Swimmers,
We will be using this site as our official site until we can get the other one up and running. I think communication in general has been very good due in large part to the email commmunications of Coach Scott and other groups coaches to their specific group/s.
I see this site as an additional way to delineate information to the entire club in a timely fashion. You should probably check the blog every couple days to stay current on the happenings of the GSC.
The blog, while not a permanent fixture, will temporarily allow you to access such things as Detailed Meet Info, Entries, Meet Hotels, Meet Results, Practice Updates, Social Activites, etc.
When a coach posts something to the blog, everything else on the blog gets pushed down on the main page. Therefore, in order to find something that was posted a few days ago or in some cases a few hours ago, you will need to scroll down the page. You can also access information base on different categories, which can be found on the left side of the main page. You can also access information by day by clicking on a specific day on the calendar.
Another way to stay informed is by subsrcibing to feedwhip.com which will send you an email when this site is updated. Updates are usually sent withing 24 hours. You can use the feedwhip site for any of your other favorite sites. The link for feedwhip can be found to the right of the main page uder links or you can simply type feedwhip.com into your url.
At the top of the main page you will find information that changes less frequently. These pages are updated every few months or more. I would like for all parents to read our group progression page, which tells you how and why swimmers move or do not move from specific training groups.
As coaches, we are looking forward to a great Long Course season. Please attend all meets you can.
Thank you,
Casey Charles
Head Coach
