The Greenville Swim Club is a not-for-profit organization which strives to serve Eastern North Carolina by building quality individuals through the team sport of swimming.

5/7/13- Poweraid State Games Open for Registration This meet is the last chance to qualify for the NC 14 & Under and Senior State LC Championship meets. It will be held June 29-30 at the Mecklenberg County Aquatic Center in downtown Charlotte. This meet is open to swimmers within one time standard of making championship meet cuts. The cost is $50. Registration closes Tuesday, May 28, at midnight.
5/6/13- Carteret Currents Invitational Open for Registration This is the annual meet at the beach! Swimmers will compete in a 50 meter pool at the Sports Center in Morehead City. This meet will be held June 14-16 and is open to all swimmers; however, Senior groups swimmers with Senior States cuts will not be participating in this meet. Registration is $45 and will close Tuesday, May 21, at midnight.

3/26/13- Records fall at ECSL Championships Congratulations to the following swimmers for setting new team records:
- Emma Hastings: Broke her own team record in 8 & under girls 50 free clocking 32.30.
- Emily Pfieffer: Set a team record in 15-18 & Senior Women's 200 fly ( 2:04.42), and also set a Minges pool record in 400 IM with a time of 4:25.37.
- Philip Perdue: Broke his own 15-16 Men's team records in the 50 free (20.63), 200 free (1:39.69), and 100 breast (57.28).
- Dalton Shaw: Set a 15-18 & Senior team record and a Minges pool record in 200 free with a time of 1:39.26.
- Men's 200 Medley Relay- Eyan Eagle, Todd Torres, Dalton Shaw, and Philip Perdue set a new Senior team record of 1:34.03.
- Men's 400 Medley Relay- Cameron Pou, Philip Perdue, Dalton Shaw, and Eyan Eagle set a new team record for both 15-18 & Senior with a time of 3:30.68.

3/15/13- GSC Strong at the NC Senior State Championship Meet Dalton Shaw led the charge for GSC by winning the Men’s 400 Individual Medley, as the team placed 4th overall at NC Senior State Championship with a combined score of 514 points, the strongest finish in team history. Read more...
3/15/13- Gators Compete at the B/C State Championship Twenty four members of the Greenville Swim Club competed at the 2013 NC B/C State Championship Meet, held March 8-10 at the Pullen Park Aquatic Center in Raleigh. 12/14/12- Gators Compete at the Junior National Championships
Five members of the Greenville Swim Club’s Senior Team competed at the Speedo Winter Junior National Championships Meet, December 6-9, in Knoxville, Tennessee. The meet was held at the Alan Jones Aquatic Center on the campus of the University of Tennessee. The meet consisted of the best swimmers in the Nation ages 18 years or younger, which had met the extremely demanding time standards. The meet was in prelims/ finals format with the top 24 swimmers from the morning sessions returning for the evening finals. Emily Pfeiffer, Dalton Shaw, and Philip Perdue competed in individual events, while Eyan Eagle and Cameron Pou joined Shaw and Perdue as part of the Men’s 4 x 200 yard relay. READ MORE...
12/13/12- Gators Fast in Cary The Greenville Swim Club competed in the Wave Winter Classic Invitational, December 7-9, at the Triangle Aquatic Center in Cary, NC. The meet was for swimmers ages 12 and younger that had earned US Swimming Motivational BB Time Standards or better. 12/5/12- Photos from Wilmington Meet Walter Pofahl has been kind enough to share his photos from the WOW vs GSC Dual Meet. Photos are available for purchase at $2 each or buy an entire CD for $10. The money goes directly to the Friends of Gators.
12/4/12- Gators Strong at Reindeer Meet. The GSC Senior team placed 4th overall at the RSA Reindeer Invitational, held November 30 – December 2 at the Triangle Aquatic Center in Cary, NC. All Twenty-six Gators were event finalists. The top 8 men and women from the morning preliminary sessions made finals in the following age groups: 13 year old, 14 year old, 15 year old, 16 and up. The fastest 8 overall swimmers from the morning made the super finals. GSC swimmers achieved best times, set team records, and had top finishes in the meet. Read More.

11/19/12- It was a great weekend for the Greenville Swim Club as they faced Eastern Carolina rival the Waves of Wilmington in the annual Coastal Cup swim meet. The meet was held at WOW’s home pool at UNC Wilmington. Ninety GSC Gators competed in the meet ranging from ages 5 to 18. GSC racked up best times, won several events, and set team records, but ultimately was not enough to defeat Wilmington at home. Click here to read more...

11/6/12- GSC was outstanding last weekend at the GCY Fall Festival Meet held at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, NC. Emma Hastings shattered a 5 year old team record in the 8 & under girls 200 IM (3:18.97), and followed that up with a new record in the 100 free (1:18.42). Emma (pictured on the right with teammate Allie Grace Frank) won 7 events in the meet.
Other event winners include Patriick Lovenberg, Carter Barnes, Eyan Eagle, Philip Perdue, and Dalton Shaw. Lovenberg won 4 events in the 9-10 boys, while Barnes won 6 events in the 11-12 boys. In the senior men's division, Eagle placed first in 2 events, Perdue won 4 events, while Dalton shaw added 3 more victories for GSC.
The meet was full of best times and strong performances from GSC swimmers Several swimmers had top 3 finishes including Cameron Anderson, Morgan Depres, Andrew Landry, Megan Baldwin, Emmie Barnhill, Grace Fountain, Sarah Fountain, Allie Grace Frank, Eric Lovenberg, Andrew Mcglohon, Emily Pfeiffer, Trey Pofahl, Cary Pou, and Emily Sawyer. 6/6/12- WITN Features GSC's Emily Pfeiffer as Player of the Week
Emily Pfeiffer won the first swimming state title in Washington High School history by finishing the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:04.29. Less than one-hundredth of a second away from breaking the 3-A state record.
Pfeiffer Added two medals to her state title gold with a silver in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:05.29 and a bronze medal with teammates in the 200-yard freestyle relay.
Now Emily Pfeiffer can add WITN Player Of The Week to her growing resume.

4/05/12- WITN Features GSC's Jon Schwartz as Player of the week
Jon Schwartz is a swimmer at the Oakwood School in Greenville but he will soon have to make a choice on where to attend college.
But his choices will likely have less to do with athletics, and more to do with academics as the straight A student is a national merit scholarship finalist considering Dartmouth, Brown and the honors program at the University of North Carolina.
